Problems with Sex: Ejaculation Techniques
by Wolfdave
Ejaculation is the squirting out of semen during sex (sexual climax). There are three main ejaculation problems which are quite common. These being: Premature Ejaculation, Delayed ejaculation and Retrograde ejaculation. The one which 30% of men experience at some time in their life is premature ejaculation or PE. This is when you come too quickly during sexual intercourse. Delayed ejaculation affects around 5% of men. This is when you want to ejaculate during sex but fail to climax. Retrograde ejaculation is a rarer condition. This is when you experience the feeling of an orgasm, but there is little or no semen. This article focuses on Delayed ejaculation techniques. You should always seek professional medical advice before taking any medications, creams or using new techniques.
Stop – start method: Most women do not need the man to thrust deeply and endlessly for their own sexual pleasure. Instead, they prefer fondling and love play with gentle penetration. The stop – start technique attempts to alter the man’s sexual behaviour. The man is encouraged to masturbate, to better understand his feelings and sensations and gain more control. He will masturbate alone to a point just before ejaculation, and then stop. This is repeated twice more, on the fourth attempt he is allowed to ejaculate. This technique will allow the man to learn how to prolong intercourse and does not normally need help or advice from a sex therapist unless psychological factors also exist.
Self distraction: This technique requires a little practice and imagination. During sexual intercourse, if you feel a climax is near, take a deep breath and think of something boring. Something very boring if possible like, mowing the lawn or stacking bricks. Anything to distract you for a few moments until the feeling of a climax has passed, and then you can continue. Once again, this technique should not need guidance from a therapist. Just use your imagination and have several boring thoughts ready.
Squeeze Method: This method can be done by you or your partner, although it is the partner who is perhaps best able to get a grip of it. (Pardon the pun). When the man feels that ejaculation is near, the partner squeezes the tip of the penis for 10 – 20 seconds. Once the feeling as subsided, wait another 20 seconds or so before continuing. This is then repeated until you want ejaculation to happen. It is possible to use this method with the stop-start method as well, and can be fun. Practice makes perfect. If you are not quite sure of the exact squeeze technique, a sex therapist will be able to help.
More Foreplay: This does not necessarily prevent premature ejaculation, but your partner will at least have some stimulation, and again, with a bit of practice orgasm and ejaculation can be achieved more or less at the same time. Being good at sex is more than just having intercourse, and takes time and practice. Sex therapists are experts, if you need help and advice, don’t be afraid to ask for it.
